Enrollment Coordinator - Adult Degree Completion (ADC) Program

Hours: Full-Time, Hourly (38-40 hours/week)
Pay: $20.49 - $29.27

Job Function:
The ADC Enrollment Coordinator facilitates the ADC student admission and enrollment processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

General
  • Understands the challenges of the returning adult learners and is sympathetic to their needs.
  • Communicates with the adult learners through a developmental or appreciative advising approach, thus allowing the transfer of power to the student that is seeking an experience of self-direction.
  • Responds to inquiries from prospective students regarding ADC degree options and document inquiry information and summary in HubSpot or Slate.
  • Monitors HubSpot or Slate every day and calls any new inquiries.
  • Reviews and evaluates ADC applicant transcripts for all courses that will be transferred in for equivalency, evaluates courses needed to complete degree in a timely manner to support students’ enrollment and registration decisions.
  • Knows the readmission process and maintains a close collaborative relationship with the registrar, admissions, academic departments, and financial aid.
  • Provides excellent customer support to applicants by proactively communicating with them to support their application submission, admission, enrollment, and registration.
    1. Completes student planner timeline within one week of admission.
    2. Makes an appointment with a new student to review degree audit within one week of completing above (either face to face or video conferencing).
    3. Monitors students grades weekly by logging into the course gradebook.
  • Connects with the adult learner frequently, face to face (zoom) or phone-call preferred, email or text can also be utilized when the student can’t be reached via phone call.
  • Helps the adult learner find balance, this discussion is extremely important early in the enrollment process.
  • Is responsible for taking and typing up minute notes in ADC meetings.
  • Attends recruiting events as requested by the Director of ADC.
  • Assists with scheduling and implementation of ADC meetings and orientation sessions.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development in consultation with supervisor.
  • Works with Online Learning to provide support for faculty teaching online via Moodle.
  • Assists Director of ADC with other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Must demonstrate track record of effective interpersonal communication, strong writing and speaking skills, and the ability to communicate well with adult learners; have a friendly customer-service approach; be innovative and motivated; be able to work both individually and collaboratively with a team; be organized and skilled in follow through; demonstrate sound judgment; and be technologically savvy with strong computer skills. 

Expectations: 
Professional dress and demeanor; maintains confidentiality; team player. Some evening and weekend hours required.

Typical Physical Demands:
Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.  May require lifting up to 25 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, copiers, calculators, and telephone.  Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

Working Conditions: 
Essential tasks are performed under normal office/school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort.  Work area is well lighted and ventilated.

Special Requirements: 
Must have an expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and be an SDA church member in good and regular standing.
