Campus Experience Manager - Admissions

JOB SUMMARY: The Campus Experience Manager’s primary responsibilities include administration of the campus visit program and PreviewSouthern events, overseeing Student Ambassadors and Campus Visit Specialists and promoting a guest-friendly environment on campus. This manager is also charged with the management of lobby receptionists and maintaining a culture of service in the Wright Hall lobby. In addition, the Campus Experience Manager will direct, create, report on, and promote the Academic Summer Camp programs.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops systems and strategy to create a warm and welcoming campus experience for guests, including our prospective students and families, along with any other guests who enter Wright Hall.

2. Oversees the Campus Visit experience for daily visit guests, including booking accommodations, and scheduling campus tours, academic appointments, and financial aid appointments for prospective student guests and/or families.

3. Manage and supervise the Campus Visit Assistant along with the team of lobby reception employees, hiring and training employees, and conducting regular performance reviews.

4. Integrates the team of lobby receptionists into the campus visit experience by training them to be the initial contact for guests and having them facilitate the campus visit experience in the lobby.

5. Manages Campus Visit events throughout each year, including ViewSouthern, PreviewSouthern and other events as assigned.

6. Grows and trains a team of Student Directors & Ambassadors to lead campus tours and interact with students throughout their campus visits in various ways.

7. Utilizes CRM software to manage interactions with prospective students as it pertains to their campus visit experience, including call, email and text campaigns to invite prospective students for a campus visit.

8. Plans and oversees the annual Academic Summer Camp Program, which includes:

  • Promoting the program to departments on campus and encouraging them to host their own camps
  • Managing the camper registration process,
  • Coordinating/supervising personnel for programming related to the Academic Summer Camps,
  • Developing and executing promotional campaigns to schools, churches, and prospective students about programs
  • Arranging housing, transportation, meals, and programming for attendees.
  • Taking into account all factors which promote a successful program: safety, logistics, student satisfaction surveys, and resolving and responding to challenges as they may arise.

9. Represents Southern Adventist University at events on campus and off campus as assigned by Director of Admissions.

10. Assists the Director of Admissions in the general planning of the office, including registrations, committee work, policy input, and the general mission of the Admissions Department.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, or related fields.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent service in all interactions.
  • Must have strong competence in organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated competency with a variety of technology platforms and tools.
  • Ability to interact and connect with prospective student and family audiences.
  • Proficiencies in public presentations as well as other forms of communication: written and verbal.

 

Special Requirements: Must have an expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and be an SDA church member in good and regular standing.

Working Conditions: Essential tasks are performed under normal office/school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort. Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Minimal travel may also be required.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending and reaching. May require moving packages up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
