Systems Specialist - Enrollment and Admissions

JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Specialist provides expert support and administration for the university’s Technolutions Slate CRM, primarily with the Enrollment and Admissions Office. This role serves as Slate's central point of contact, collaborating with users to understand their needs, develop solutions, and deliver comprehensive training.  The Systems Specialist manages the technical aspects of Slate, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity to support effective recruitment strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and configures Slate backend processes, including rules, forms, fields, applications, user roles, permissions, and portals to optimize system performance and automate business processes.
  • Provides end-user support, troubleshoots technical issues, and creatively solves complex problems related to records, events, forms, and other system functions.
  • Develops and delivers end-user training and documentation, including ongoing assessments, to ensure consistent and effective use of Slate.
  • Collaborates with users from various campus departments to understand their needs, analyzes business processes, and develops system solutions or process improvements to solve business challenges.
  • Continuously improves Slate functionality by exploring and implementing new modules and features, assisting with updates, maintenance, and testing, including quality control reporting and data integrity analysis.
  • Monitors and maintains integrations between Slate and external systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity and recommending system changes and improvements as needed.
  • Creates customized queries and reports to provide analytic support to key decision-makers for feedback and improvement of recruitment strategies.
  • Review outgoing communications recipient lists for the Admissions Office to ensure messages reach the appropriate audience.
  • Updates the Admissions website as needed.
  • Provides support to the Admissions Office team, assisting with various processes as required.
  • Supports customer service and student-centered focus of Enrollment Management.
  • Performs all other related duties within Enrollment Management as assigned.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:            
An expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, an SDA church member in good and regular standing.

QUALIFICATIONS:           
The ideal candidate will be a technologically savvy and data-oriented individual who can think critically and innovatively. The candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable working independently, possess strong organizational skills, and communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing (fluent English required). The ability to multitask in complex situations and collaborate effectively is essential. Proficiency in SQL, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.

EDUCATION:     
Bachelor’s Degree Required.

EXPERIENCE:     
Two years of relevant experience in higher education or technical support are required.  CRM administration or support experience in higher education is preferred, with Technolutions Slate experience highly desirable.
